Mother's Day at the Zoo

We ventured to the zoo on Mother's Day this year.  It was a lot more crowded than I thought it would be, but the weather was awesome, so that's probably why.  Charlotte enjoyed strolling around and Larsen loved the animals.  We plan to take just Larsen back to the zoo later this summer so we can see more animals, and hopefully it won't be so crowded during the week.  Here are some pics from the day.

Also, here's a cute pic of Larsen from the other day.  I actually got him to sit still!

What she's up to...

Miss Charlotte turned four months old on the 16th. Yes, I'm a little late in this blog post, but that's how it goes when you teach all week long and have very little time in the evening to do much at all, except baths, dishes, laundry, food, etc! Here's what my four month old is up to:

*She likes to sleep on her tummy for naps and bedtime.

*She no longer likes her binky, which now makes it difficult to get her to sleep for naps and bedtime.

*She likes her silky blanket and Sophie the giraffe.

*Fights sleep hard. I have to put her in her carseat a lot to get her to fall asleep.

*Sleeps around a six hour stretch at night, and then back down for about three more hours.

*Very nosy and alert baby! She loves to talk, laugh, and grab her toys.

*Rolls belly to back and is trying very hard to roll the other way.

Easter is upon us!

Larsen went on an Easter egg hunt this past weekend. He bypassed the eggs, and went straight for the toys! Charlotte snoozed during the hunt. I was so thankful that my husband went with us. Two kids are a lot to handle. C decided, of course, that she needed a bottle right when it was Larsen's turn to hunt for eggs.

Lousy Blogger

I've really neglected my blog lately, but for good reason, of course. Having two kids is hard work! Since I've been on maternity leave, I've been very busy keeping up with the two of them. Charlotte is a colicky baby, so our evenings are spent trying to keep her happy and trying to spend time with Larsen. It's hard to believe, but I go back to work next week. I've been off almost 12 weeks! I really hope Charlotte's colic subsides soon, so we can have happy evenings together.

Here's a silly pic of me and my buddy!

And here's a cute one!

He's pretty much the best big brother, EVER!

Meet Charlotte Jo Marie!

Charlotte was born December 16 and she weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long. We are simply smitten with this little princess.
